The Ambassador Hotel Bangkok is very conveniently located in Soi 11, one of the busiest street in the Sukhumvit area with numerous bars, clubs, and restaurants. Once the night falls you are sure to find a lot of available Thai ladies in the various venues or right off the street selling their wares. The two biggest Red-light districts of Bangkok: Nana Plaza & Soi Cowboy are also within walking distance respectively 10 & 15 minutes away. As a word of advise before booking, be known unless you pick a Suite there is a BIG difference between the older “Standard Main” and the recently refurbished “Tower Wing”. Go for the latter, it might be 10$ a night more but you will eventually regret not having gone with. The facilities include a outdoor pool on the third floor with comfortable sunbeds, a gym, spa, squash court, etc. which all are generally well maintained. At 35 sq.m. rooms are quite spacious and have been fitted with flat-screen TV and a nice and comfy king-size bed at it’s center. Rooms also have as large window next to the sofa area with thick curtains that do a good job blocking out the sun when you want to sleep in late. Over the last 40 years this hotel has seen it’s share of bargirls and freelancers coming and going, there had been some chatter on the forums over the last years that some of the guards and night reception staff were scamming the customers for 1000 THB per overnight guests. I was very surprised of this claim since the hotel’s has it’s very own Climax nightclub where almost all the females clientele inside are freelancers looking for customers. I personally never ran into this problem in the past and after contacting the Ambassador Hotel again concerning a possible modification to their joiner policy they were quite adamant they were still 100% Guest Friendly. I decided to investigate myself and can gladly say I had no problems with bringing this Thai lady back up to my room. If ever this was true the rogue staff then has been replaced!
