The Coconut Beach Resort is a modern airy three story building ideally situated right next to the beach and within a 5 minutes walk from the Lamai Central Plaza beer bar complex. The beach end is beautiful, very good spot for swimming, plenty of beach lounges to go around, cold beer served at the bamboo bar and nice quiet pool just few steps away from the ocean. Booked the cheapest category standard room, fairly modern but a bit spartan, size ok at 30 m², decently sized balcony, all the essential amenities covered: Big comfy bed & pillows, good air-con unit, mini-bar, free Wi-Fi desk, bathroom has shower over bath. Few negatives: LCD TV attached in a corner on the ceiling is a bit small, boiler with tea/coffee missing but available for free at the reception.
Otherwise nothing to really complain, central to the nightlife, right at the beach with pool and bar, definitely recommended for the price. Have a look below for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the room and hotel amenities.
