The D Varee Diva Avenue Samui is located just a stone’s throw from Soi Reggae, so if you like to be near the bargirl scene there is plenty of selection just a few steps away. The hotel is split into two separate buildings, the better of the two which hosts the superior and deluxe category rooms has the reception, pool and restaurant. the second, the “residence wing” has the older rooms and gym. Price is very reasonable for what you get but there is nothing really amazing about this hotel. The rooftop pool, which is the main feature is great to have quick dip to cool off but there’s no bar and very limited seating. The superior category are actually quite nice, of decent enough size, bed is average, not exactly hard but could be softer, Led-TV did provide a few good channels to watch, you could see they had fitted a new new air con unit recently and made some renovations. large fridge, decent balcony, electronic safe and the usual coffee/tea making facilities where also present. Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss especially at peak usage times. Bathroom is of open-glass type with shower, pressure was actually very good.
Overall good value for money, being just next-door from the beer bars of Soi Reggae is a plus, but place could do with some refurbishing, I’d skip the standard category/residence wing altogether and upgrade to the superior room for the small difference in price.
