The Hemingways Silk Hotel is a very popular 3-star property located in a quiet, but central area near the end of Soi Sansabai. Just close enough to be able to do everything on foot but at the same time not be bothered by noise at the end the day: Bangla road, Jungceylon mall, Patong beach are all between 5 to 10 minutes walk. Not the biggest of rooms but nicely designed and modern with a comfy king size beds. Loved the great blackout curtains that let you sleep in peacefully and recover after a long night out. Good set of amenities: Flat-screen TV offers lots of channels, free and fast Wi-Fi on an unlimited number of devices, modern safe, well stocked mini-bar, little balcony to dry clothes or enjoy a beer, really nothing to complain here.
Hotel facilities include a roof top pool with bar (opening hours 10AM-10PM), a sun bathing area and a restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the staff friendly, helpful and many have a great sense of humor. In the end the Hemingways Silk offers clean and modern facilities that outclasses most hotels of similar star ratings in the area so I highly recommended, awarded the Trip Advisor’s certificate of Excellence.
