Le Murraya Resort is located in a quieter area just south of chaweng lake, within easy walking distance (about 5 to 10 minutes) from the beach and the beer bar hostesses of Soi Reggae. The resort features a 24-hour gym, restaurant (limited to serving breakfast) and a smalll outdoor pool set in a lovely garden area with a dozen or so sun loungers and parasols that you can enjoy by yourserlf most of the time. One of the advantages of staying here at Le Murraya is you also get to use, free of charge, the fantastic 4-star beachfront and pool facilities of their sister hotel, the Synergy Samui Resort just 5 minutes away.
My personnal reason for chosing Le Muraya and the most likely the reason they get awarded the Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor are the huge rooms they offer for the price. The smallest category starting at 45 sqm are already very spacious while the suites are massive. While definitely not high-end, rooms come with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay and are more of an apartment with seperate bedroom, living and kitchenette area plus a private balcony with table and chairs. All come equipped with two TV sets featuring few movie channels, huge fridge for your drinks, Good air-con, Good to excellent wi-fi signal, safe, lots of power sockets, tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms have a nice and powerful walk-in shower.
