March Hotel is the newest hotel managed by a Chinese owner with a few other popular hotels in the area: The April Suites, August Suites and now opened newer May wing. Location is a bit off the beaten track down a little side street, about 150 meters away of the Pattaya 2nd road and Pattaya central. Depending in which direction you are headed from here, a 10 minutes leisurely stroll should get you to either Soi 6, Soi 7, Central festival, Soi Buakhao or Pattaya beach.
Hotel itself was quite good, I’d even go as far to say currently one of the best hotels in this price range and slightly superior to their sister hotel April Suites, as rooms the are bigger in size and have more up-to-date facilities. I gave a try at their Deluxe category, ended up in the newer May wing. First impressions quite were good, definitely feels spacious enough at 28 square meters, rooms don’t have much in the way of decorations but all the essentials are provided: Comfy king size bed, decently sized 40-inch LED TV TV with a good range of English speaking channels, a large fridge offering plenty of storage space, silent operating air con unit, flawless Wi-fi signal that stays permanently connected (no need to sign back in each time), big safe that could easily fit my 13-inch laptop, bathroom comes just with a shower (Premier Deluxe category have the extra bath), only downside I could think of in the room was that the balcony didn’t have much in the way of a view. Hotel amenities include a relaxing pool, sunbathing and bar area on the 2nd floor as well as a gym and sauna.
In the end a great little 3.5-Star hotel: room, bed, cleanliness, service, 1st girl free, 500 baht extra fee if ever fancy a 2nd girl for the night. recipient of TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence award.
