La Vintage Resort is tucked away in a small soi just around the corner from the hustle and bustle of the Patong’s main road approximately 10-15 minutes walking distance from both Bangla Road and the beach. The hotel amenities include two small swimming pools next to each other separated by a small walk way with a bar in the middle, grounds are quite nice with little koi ponds and Balinese style statues. The first pool is shallower and more for kids with families, second is tucked deeper inside and more relaxing. I stayed in a Deluxe studio with balcony and the room was great, lots of space to move around with a big comfy bed, flat screen TV, safe, fridge, quiet and cool air-con. Bathroom is just your typical Thai wet room but there was no shortage of hot water, Wi-fI connection can be a bit slow at times but overall very reasonable price, I would definitely recommend this little 3-stars hotel. What you see above are the actual pictures I took when staying in their Deluxe studio room.

Lamai Central Plaza is a large 2000 square meters open air plaza best known for it’s long-established dozen or so beer bars at it’s centre, popular street food courts on it’s side and it’s weekly free Saturday nights boxing events including men, women and if you are lucky transgendered fighting it off in the ring during the high season months. Beer bars generally open between 6 & 7 PM but things here really only start to get lively after 9PM with loud music and pole dancing bargirls once the couples and families with children have gone home. Ambiance usually is at full swing by 11PM and can keep going pretty late depending of the season, don’t worry if you don’t find a bargirl that tickle your fancy, selection here can be scarce at times as this not Lamai’s premium adult playground. Most punters in need of companionship will actually head straight to a bigger beer complex named “Beer Bar Central“, and it’s area which comprised of a few interconnected streets offering a wider selection of girls just 5 minutes walk away. I strongly suggest giving a try at both redlight districts during your stay in Lamai.

The 1st thing that will strike you, if you aren’t accustomed to the LK Metropole and LK Group of hotels in Pattaya is the decor, it’s a gaudy take on Victorian & renaissance styles. But once you get adjusted to the furnishing, the hotel is actually quite nice for the rate. At 46 sq.m the studios are definitely bigger than your average Pattata hotel room, housekeeping is great and all the staff are very friendly and professional. The pool area is not very big but adequate for a quick dip to cool off from the heat and there’s plenty of lounge chairs to relax in.
33/35 M.10, Soi Metro, Second Pattaya Road, Banglamung, 20150 Central Pattaya, Thailand
The LK Residence enjoys a prime location on Soi Diana with most of Central Pattaya’s nightlife nearby, this is currently one of my favorite areas to base myself, vibe is laid-back, making it a great place to start your evening but also a very strategic option for those who like to do everything on foot, just 3 minutes walk to LK Metro, 5 mins to Soi Buakhao and under 10 mins to the beach, Central Festival mall or the beer bar enclaves of Soi 7 & 8, with lot’s of cheap baht buses routes along the way. I’ve grown over the years to like a lot the LK group in Pattaya and this stay at the LK Residence was no exception. The hotel is appointed in the distinct LK vintage European style, which might not exactly be the most modern theme out there but what I love about them is quality and comfort found in their rooms. 1st the bedding is always extremely comfortable, so great in fact I literally slept 10 hours straight on the first night on arrival, 2nd there’s the size of the rooms, at 60 square meters my superior room enjoyed about double of the living […]
33/154 Moo 10, Soi Diana, Central Pattaya, Pattaya, Thailand
The LK Royal Suite is conveniently located right on Soi Buakhao, making most of Central Pattaya’s nightlife (Soi 7/8, Soi LK Metro & Soi Diana) and attractions (beach & central festival mall) easily accessible within a 5 to 10 mins walk. The Royal Suite is one of the LK group’s older properties, which have made a name for themselves in the city by offering vintage European themed hotels with larger than average rooms at very competitive prices. While the hotel could do with some TLD and is a bit lower standard than sister hotels such as the LK The Empress, LK Metropole or LK Residence nearby, the Royal Suite nonetheless still offers some good bang for your buck. The main building is the all suite part of the hotel, where the most expensive and generous size rooms are located. The cheaper standard room wing, of which you see my pictures in above are located in the adjacent building just next door. First impressions quite positive: At 36 square meters, even the cheapest category didn’t feel cramped, bed is very comfortable, 40-inch TV offers a wide selection of international channels (ex: Cinema 1 and Cinema 2 shows good movies 24/7), small […]

Lohas Residences Sukhumvit is located at a quiet end of Soi 2, providing a close but quiet retreat from the madness of soi 4 and Nana Plaza, while they offer a complimentary tuk-tuk it’s just a 5 minute walk from all the action. I went with their cheapest accommodations “the Lohas Deluxe” and the rooms are quite large at 45 sq.m and well maintained, including all modern amenities such as LCD TV with lots of channels, fast wireless internet, bathroom with Japanese toilets and a kitchenette with a big refrigerator and even a washing machine, plenty of storage space and a work desk in the corner. Hotel amenities include a relaxing little pool, fitness room, two hot tubs and sauna areas on the rooftop which are opened reasonably late until 1PM. Staff and all staff very polite, friendly and well trained. Have a look above for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the room and hotel amenities.

Located on the corner of Soi 4 and Sukhimvit Road, you can literally walk into Nana Plaza from the hotel in just over a minutes walk. Soi Cowboy, the other major Red-Light district of Bangkok is also easily accessible on foot, a 15 minutes stroll away. Last but not least the Nana BTS SkyTrain Station is under 5 minutes way making it easy to get around the city, as well as from/to the airport.

March Hotel is the newest hotel managed by a Chinese owner with a few other popular hotels in the area: The April Suites, August Suites and now opened newer May wing. Location is a bit off the beaten track down a little side street, about 150 meters away of the Pattaya 2nd road and Pattaya central. Depending in which direction you are headed from here, a 10 minutes leisurely stroll should get you to either Soi 6, Soi 7, Central festival, Soi Buakhao or Pattaya beach. Hotel itself was quite good, I’d even go as far to say currently one of the best hotels in this price range and slightly superior to their sister hotel April Suites, as rooms the are bigger in size and have more up-to-date facilities. I gave a try at their Deluxe category, ended up in the newer May wing. First impressions quite were good, definitely feels spacious enough at 28 square meters, rooms don’t have much in the way of decorations but all the essentials are provided: Comfy king size bed, decently sized 40-inch LED TV TV with a good range of English speaking channels, a large fridge offering plenty of storage space, silent operating […]

The Mixx Discotheque is a very popular Bangkok after hours club located in the basement of the Intercontinental Hotel, one of the most luxurious hotels of the city so you can expect to see many high class Thai and Russian freelancers working the crowds of foreigners. Guests who frequent the club are quite a diverse mix, westerners usually make up the majority at around 60% then 40% Asian (including some Indians and Arabs tourists). About 60% of the ladies are freelancers so if that’s what you are after it shouldn’t be a problem to hookup though expect the prices to be higher than average. Since the Mixx is a bit more upscale than your average disco the the doormen do enforces a stricter dress code which is smart casual, jeans and a shirt are fine just don’t show up in shorts and sandals, they sometimes can provide guests trousers for a small fee nothing is guaranteed especially if the place is already packed. The Nighclub is split in two rooms elegantly decorated with fancy chandeliers, gold statues, red carpets and drapes, the first boudoir-like room plays Hip Hop & Rn’B music, the other darker one focuses House/Trance/EDM. Resident DJ’s Andy (UK) and DJ Eddie Pay […]

Location is sublime, right on the beach surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the Montien House Hotel offers guests a great place to relax and unwind after a long night out. Loved chilling around the beachfront pool and bar with the sand in my toes. Then once the sun came down again and it was time to go out, Chaweng’s center of attraction and nightlife: Soi Green Mango was only 5 minutes walk away offering the best of both worlds. The Montien House is an older resort that offers several types of accommodations, the more modern premier deluxe rooms are located near the reception in back, inside the newer building while the other room and bungalows, villas and suites are spread across the garden, closer to the beach, pool & restaurant. I went with their premium deluxe category and was quite pleased with it, rooms are spacious, modern and bright. Definitely not 5-stars but everything was kept spotless, bed was very comfortable, modern air-con unit was silent, tv offered a decent selection of channels and the shower hot. Overall a good choice for those who want a base right on the beach and close to all the action. Have a look […]

The NANA Hotel is a Bangkok institution for over 50 years now, opening its doors in 1963 it is an icon of the naughty nightlife and the Mecca for punters from all over the world over. Of course the main attraction here is having Thailand’s main red-light district, the Nana Entertainment Plaza just across the street. his ex 3-story shopping mall is home to over 30 gogo bars employing a total of about 700 available ladies. There are also numerous bars along the street all within walking distance that provide sufficient choice to satisfy the taste of even the most discerning of gentlemen. Now overshadowed by the Mighty Marriott Hotel towering just behind it, no one can argue Nana Hotel has definitely seen better days but location and value is pretty hard to beat at 1500 Baht. You get big comfy Bed, over 20 English speaking channels on the TV, free WiFi, shower has amazing pressure, big fridge with free bottled water, safe that you can fit a laptop in. Nana Hotel also has an excellent swimming pool area that has numerous sunbeds, an outside Jacuzzi and great buffet breakfast with good choice of thai and western foods drinks included in the room rate. 4 Soi Nana Tai, Sukhumvit Road, Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Thailand 10110
Greeting you when you pass beneath the monstrous ‘Nana Entertainment Plaza’ sign is a mass of flashy neon signs, yelling at you from all directions. Shouting even louder than the neon lights is the intriguing cast of characters upfront, bargirls & ladyboys and who will try and accost you in a lighthearted and nonthreatening fashion to get you to visit their respective gogo bars. Nana Plaza is Bangkok’s most notorious red light districts, this large complex comprising of three floors of go go bars. The bars generally open around 8PM, but there are bars full of more discreet hostesses that are open all hours. In fact, the entire top end of this street, nearest the BTS Nana station, is dominated by bars and girls. On the ground floor are mostly open-air beer bars to choose from. Girls will try to tempt you in for a drink or a game of Jenga but not much really happens here. The shows and the A Go Go Bars with naughty names like Lollipop,Pretty Lady and Red Lips are located on the first floor. Girls here will step into your path and will try to drag you in for a look with a naughty laugh.

The Palm Coco Mantra is a beautiful new boutique hotel with just 20 rooms and 6 bungalows nestled on a fabulous beachfront location on the outskirts of Lamai. Vibe is relaxed and friendly, The grounds are meticulously landscaped. Facilities include a lovely infinity pool, plenty of comfy sun beds/big bean bags adjacent to a beach bar and restaurant area. The staff are exceptional, you really feel that personal touch from the moment you set foot until the moment you leave. The beach was fine, although water levels in this part of the bay are very shallow, making it not suitable for swimming. Great resort to chill out, lay on beach, dive in pool sometimes and enjoy the view. Got a Superior Sea View on the third floor, rooms is bright and colourful, bed large and extremely comfortable, also spacious enough at 30 m² in size, all the essential facilities provided: Mini-bar, TV with HBO, excellent WiFi signal, small safe and padlock, coffee/tea making facilities plus a quiet and efficient a/c unit. Bathroom was a bit of a letdown, just a wet room but everything functional. The balcony has very comfy chairs with cushions, the sea view is really stunning to […]
143/11 Moo 4, Lamai beach, Maret, Ko Samui 84310, Thailand
The Parinda Hotel is hidden down a little alleyway adjacent to Soi 4, so quiet yet only a 5-10 minutes walk from the bars and red light district of Nana plaza. They also offer a free tuk-tuk shuttle to the main road if you don’t feel like walking but I’ve always just picked a little exercise instead. The hotel is was brand new, extremely clean, facilites include a small pool (but very few sunbeds) and a big gym with lots of free weights and exercise machines if that’s your thing. I booked their cheapest rooms: “the Deluxe” which at 35 sq.m were large and with a minimalist yet modern decor, very confy bed, the bathroom has both separate bath and shower. The service was excellent, no complaints here, any request was taking care of with no trouble. Overall a great choice in the Nana area, will repeat! Have a look above for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the room and hotel amenities.

The Penthouse hotel is definitely not your typical or traditional hotel by any standards, the adult decor throughout is erotic and sexually explicit. Setting foot in the lobby area is a bit like entering an upscale brothel, there are many exotic and strange areas within the hotel, attached to it are two go-go bars which provides all sort of fun, one for girls and another for ladyboys in all safety, amenities include two swimming pools: One outdoor pool with a relaxing terrace and another in the basement which is great for night time partying. I stayed in one of their Party Patpong category and just to state a few of the “room extras” were full-length wall and ceiling mirrors around the bed, dancing podiums with lights & stripper poles, jacuzzi tub an adult “exercise” swing, 50-inch screen LCD-TV with adult movies, mood lighting, etc. Perfect for nighttime debauchery. Location is on Soi Pattayaland 2, just 50 meters from the beach and only three blocks from Walking Street. Have a look above for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the room and hotel amenities.

Petals Inn has been freshly remodeled two years, so the rooms are very modern and inviting, it’s a great little hotel located right in the middle of Soi 4, less than 5 minutes walk to Bangkok’s biggest red-light district Nana Entertainment Plaza so there’s lots of excitement in the area. Simply put, if it’s nightlife, girls and bars you’re after, this is the area to stay in
20/7-8 Sukhumvit 4, Sukhumvit Road,, Khlong Toei, 10110 Bangkok, Thailand
The location of the Phachara Suites Sukhumvit is ideal for those who wish to be as close as possible from the Red-Light district without being bothered by it’s noise and craziness. Tucked in a quiet side street, walking 60 meters is all you need to get onto bustling Soi 4 and it’s many, many bars while Nana Entertainment Plaza (NEP) is well under 5 minutes walk away. This a good 4-Star hotel offering all the amenities one could need during your stay, service is also excellent throughout, from the doorman to the security guards, reception and housekeeping.

The R Mar Resort and Spa is a quiet little gem with huge outdoor pools surrounded by a lot of greeneries in a very busy area of Patong. Rooms are lovely and of classic design with rustic furniture but equipped with all required modern day amenities needed including a big comfy beds, large LCD/plasma screens, Mini bar offering some complimentary free drinks for guests (the usual free water but also beer and soft drinks that are replenished daily), free wifi and a nice big balcony to chill on.

While the rates booking online are usually great, the Royal Ivory it is an old and tired hotel where one could almost get the feel it was built 30 years ago and never updated since so at this point a complete makeover would be needed.
73 Sukhumvit Soi 4, Sukhumvit Road, Klong Toey, Khlong Toei, 10110 Bangkok, Thailand
The Royal Phawadee Village is a little a little oasis of peace just minutes away from the from the hustle and bustle of Patong. Location is great, just 3 mins walk to the beach and 10 mins to Bangla Road. This older resort was built in traditional Thai style architecture and is set amid lush tropical gardens, pool is well maintained, clean and refreshing. My deluxe room was on the second floor with a veranda overlooking the pool. Living space is around 30 sq.m, everything is clean and fully functional, king size bed is comfortable and comes with very clean linen, flat screen TV, well stocked mini-bar and a balcony to sit on and enjoy a drink, toilet separate from the shower room. Staff are laid back and very friendly, will definitely return. Have a look above for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the room and hotel amenities.

The S Sukhumvit Suites is a clean, modern and intimate hotel ideally located just 2 minute walk away around the corner from Soi Cowboy. The S Sukhumvit Suites has recently completed its renovation and I must say the results are excellent. Having tried a few hotels around this area over the years, for the price, service, location and overall quality, it simply doesn’t get any much better than this. The only downside is there are no swimming pool/gym/spa facilities.

Location wise, the Safari Beach Hotel is unbeatable, all you need to do is turn left, walk 60 meters and you’re at Patong Beach & Bangla Road. The grounds are green and lush, secluded and always seems quiet, swimming pool area is real nice too, guest get a 10% discount at their Savoey Seafood Restaurant, staff all-around are super friendly. I booked a Safari Deluxe with garden view on the second floor, room was spacious and super clean, bed was fine with good of pillows and cushions, linen was of good standard, LCD TV & DVD player, air conditioner worked well and since the rooms have a traditional metal key you can leave it on 24/7, bathroom had a large walk-in shower with good water pressure and no shortage of hot water great, Small patio overlooking the gardens, a little noise at night but it’s still very muted no trouble sleeping during my stay. Definitely not 5-star luxury, but still a great value, has everything you need besides perhaps a gym for the fitness freaks but for the price and location it’s superb. Have a look above for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the Deluxe […]

The Samui Sense Beach Resort is a perfect options for those looking for a holiday with the beach on your doorstep and almost immediate access (under 5 minutes walk) to the best nightlife and beer bars of Lamai. Located on a beautiful stretch of sand with no shortage of sun loungers and bean bags around, good beach bar, well priced drinks and friendly staff. Gardens are lush and green, atmosphere is very relaxing by the pool. The Samui Sense is a rather small resort with 44 rooms, facilites are not new but generally well maintained, they offer a selection of the cheaper superior rooms in the main building, while the more expensive suites and bungalows are around the pool area. I booked the most basic room, the superior category, found them to be exactly as described online, well appointed, good bed ( they can provide you with an extra top bed if you find yours too hard), strong AC unit, TV with limited selection of channels, lots of hot water in the shower, safety box and small mini-bar. Keep in mind that at 22 m², this category is not for those who plan to spend a whole lot of time […]

The Seven Zea is a small cozy boutique hotel that opened for business in 2012, as it’s just a few years old everything is still in excellent condition. The highlight of the property is their rooftop pool on the 8th floor, complete with infinity edge, sun tanning terrace and bar. Really a great place to soak up the sun and enjoy great views over Pattaya Bay. The rooms, which start at 32 sq.m. are very clean featuring a minimalist modern design with a nice floor-to-ceiling windows. Amenities include minibar is provided along side with 32″ Flatscreen TV, desk and wardrobe. Joiners are very welcomed here and actually the rate to have a second girl overnight is quite acceptable at 300 THB.

Shock39 Nightclub is definitely not my 1st choice in Bangkok but sometimes when it’s very late at night, all the other bars or clubs have shut down and you still need that “one more drink” it does the job to keep the party going. Expect to meet a mixed crowd of already liquored-up tourists From Nana and Soi 11, expats and average looking freelancers searching to close the deal. Tuk-Tuk and taxis drivers will almost always get you here if you ask them for a disco, sometimes for free since they earn a nice commission for bringing in customers to fill up the place. Decorated is very minimalist with a large dance floor space at it’s center that is lit up catwalk style with lights made of pinkish & blue tones. The DJ play a bit of everything from trance and house music to hip hop. I’ve noticed over the year it’s gotten more and more popular among the Indian and black community.

The Siam Bayshore Resort and Spa is is a hidden gem and by far the best option out of all hotels along Walking Street, if you’ve been in Pattaya before you’ve probably walked passed by this resort not knowing just how big the place or of the phenomenal amenities it offers. Definitely more the sort of experience you’d expect to find on a tropical island far far away from the loud nightlife of Pattaya. The Siam Bayshore has two pools, a smaller one just across from walking street with private beach and another at the back of the resort surrounded by lavish tropical garden settings, this being in my opinion the highlight of the resort. The pool is quite large and organized into shallow and deep zones with loads of sun loungers and a bar offering some great downtime Arriving a bit early I was “upgraded” to a Executive Deluxe room which have a older look and feel to them. So word of advice, stick to the slightly cheaper Tropical Deluxe rooms which have been refurbished and are located at the pool side, unless you need to be in the main building with direct access to walking street. What you see […]

The SM Grande offers large serviced apartments right at the heart of the Red-Light district on Soi 4, only 5 minutes walk from Nana Plaza. Despite the nightlife being so close by, the rooms remain very quiet, you don’t hear a thing with the windows closed so no problems getting a good nights sleep.
33 Sukhumvit Soi 4, Sukhumvit Road, Klongtoey, Khlong Toei, 10110 Bangkok, Thailand
Soi 4 in the Sukhunvit area is definitely one of the best places to find street freelancers in Bangkok, As soon as you enter you will notice girls and ladyboys lining the street, the majority standing on the side of the road that’s opposite to the pubs and bars. You will find the highest concentration of them hanging around outside the Nana hotel parking lot and the entrance of Nana Plaza. Though the quality of the working girls in this particular area are not always high in the looks department compared to those working in the go-go bars you can bet the rates they ask for are usually a lot lower. In the case you are new to the area, a good spot to sit and watch the action go by is from the Stumble Inn bar just opposite from where they hang, you can then grab a beer and wait until you see something of your taste show up, then all you need to do is cross the street to go talk to them or wave one over to talk to negotiate a price. Fun starts usually around 8PM continues late into the night. though a strategic time to pick up some gems […]

Pattaya Soi 6, Muang Pattaya, Amphoe Bang Lamung, Chang Wat Chon Buri 20150, Thailand
With over 80 hostess bars that line up nearly every inch of the street from where Beach Road meets 2nd Road, Soi 7 & 8 make up together one of the biggest and most popular beer bar enclaves of Pattaya. During the day, while many establishments are operational things tend to be quiet and subdued, it’s really only between 5PM & 7PM that the bars start to fill up. By 8PM things are usually in full swing as all the bargirls have shown up for duty at their respective bars and start flirting and drinking with the customers. The ones that aren’t already been taken yet line both sides of the walkway, enthusiastically trying to lure or grab you or passerby’s to join them for a beer, a game of pool or more. While Pattaya are getting more international year after year with the influx of Chinese, Indian, and Middle-Eastern tourists changes have been much slower to take place here and Soi 7 & 8 is generally speaking, still almost exclusively visited by white middle-aged single men. A lot of the bars cater to this crowd and feature bands playing rock hits from the 70’s through to the 90’s era. […]

Along with Soi LK Metro and Soi Diana nearby, Soi Buakhao is an increasingly popular area among the expat community living in Pattaya. Often unknown to 1st timers, this has been slowly becoming one of the regular hangouts for many regular visitors who travel to Pattaya. Running 1.5 KM long, all the way from South Pattaya road to Central Pattaya Road this area might not be as glitzy as Walking Street but it still offers quite a variety of interesting nightspots to visit, from beer bars to nightclubs, hostess bars, massage parlors, coyote bars and go-go bars. Most of it’s activity goes on around it’s intersection with Soi Diana & Soi LK where bars are tightly packed, while you are sure to get some high noise levels with beautiful bargirls calling out to passersby, the overall vibe is still quite laid back compared to the hectic venues near Walking Street, girls employed by the bars here also tend to be more relaxed and friendlier. Another reason to Soi Buakhao popularity, is that prices are significantly lower than in any of the other main alternatives for a night out in Pattaya. These days a small beer along Walking Street with set […]

Soi Cowboy is a great place to experience a laid-back and carnavalesque like red light district with flashing neon lights up a colorfully and sexily dressed girls. Located along a short walking street with around you will swiftly be greeted by cries of ‘heeeellooaaaoa, weeeeelcoooome!’ where bargirls will try to lure you into one of the 20 or so A go-go bars that line its sides… don’t be shy, it’s pretty easy going and open-minded, entry is always free and drink prices are fixed. No traps or scams… so just sit and order a drink!

Soi Diana (Officially Soi 13 off Second Road), got it’s name derived from one of the oldest and original hotel that was built on it’s street way back when, the Diana Inn. Stretching some 400 meters long, Soi Diana links Pattaya 2nd road to Soi Buakhao and Soi LK Metro. Taken together, these three streets make up one of the popular entertainment and nightlife areas of Pattaya. Probably the 2rd or 3th biggest in terms of naughty nightlife venues after Walking Street and the beer bar enclaves of Soi 6 & Soi 7/8. There’s all the options one would need for a great night out and everything is within easy walking distance from one another. The main attractions at the heart of Soi Diana are it’s high energy beer bar complex and coyote bars. As you get towards the end of Soi Diana, a little before you exit onto Soi Bukhao, don’t miss the archways that the entrance to Soi LK Metro om your left, this L-shaped street is place is a must see. Walking Street might still be the best place to go in town for go-go bars but Soi LK Metro is the 2nd just right after.

Located in the centre of Chaweng, Soi Green Mango is the undisputed ground zero of the Island’s nightlife. Think of it as a smaller and more compact version of Bangla road in Phuket featuring a myriad In-your-face girlie bars, pubs, clubs, discos, massage parlours, go-go bars and party all night long entertainment. It’s loud, it’s brash and usually if you are out to party, regardless of where you’ve started your evening you’ll likely end up at some point in Soi Green Mango. The Green Mango Club, located at the very end of the road, has been the soul and heart of Chaweng’s nightlife for decades. This super-club has a huge open air space featuring spacious dance floors and multiple bars with scantily-clad Thai ladies waiting to accommodate customers looking for date. Definitely your best bet if you are looking to pickup a Thai working girl for the evening outside of the girlie bars/go-go scene. In case you are in need of a change of scenery, you can give a try at one of its two sister clubs:Mambo & Sweet Soul down the street.

Located a little off the beaten track, LK Metro is new up and coming area of Central Pattaya. Popular among the expat community, this short, 200 meter L-shaped street has seen a dramatic increase in it’s number of go-go bars over the last five years. Located between Soi Buakhao and Soi Diana, this whole area has seen a constant flow of investment and is now one of the fastest growing entertainment districts of Pattaya with many speculating the future of the naughty nightlife scene is set to move inland in an effort from the authorities to clean the image of the city. While there is nowhere near the variety of choices found in Walking Street yet, the Soi LK Metro, Buakhao & Diana area are gaining notoriety and slowly becoming one the established premier nightlife zones of Pattaya. A few things do work in it’s favor, since the place is relatively new the go-go bars are large and modern, the price for the beers is a lot cheaper while the girls are still just as hot, more easy going and usually less pushy with drinks. There a few places in particular that do stand out: Champagne Ago-go, run by a friendly Aussie […]
Soi L.K. Metro, Muang Pattaya, Amphoe Bang Lamung, Chang Wat Chon Buri 20150, Thailand
Soi Reggae is a kilometre long lane found on the Chaweng Lakeside, it’s name derives from the popular Reggae Pub found at its end, one of the oldest and top rated venues for nightlife in Samui. The Reggae Pub is a large, two-story club that usually kicks off the evening with live bands playing a mix of reggae and popular rock ballads until around midnight, from where DJ’s take over and play more modern electronic beats until 2-3AM. Atmosphere is friendly, laid-back and drink prices are quite competitive priced. The freelancers here are generally more aggressively friendly than in other clubs. I’ve noticed over the years that the area has seen a slow and steady decline in popularity with the rise of places like Soi Green Mango and the ARK Bar’s beach parties but it usually still fills up and gets quite busy from 11PM onwards. Out on the 200 meter long street leading to the Reggae Pub is where you will find the Chaweng’s second largest concentration of beer bars, expect loud music, bargirls on both sides of the street shrieking the usual welcomingly: “hello sexy man” at passers-by while trying to pull you in their bar a few laughs, […]
Soi Reggae, Chaweng, Koh Samui, 84320, Thailand
Located smack in the middle of Bangla road, Soi Sea Dragon is one of biggest and busiest beer bar enclaves of Phuket’s nightlife scene. This spacey, colourful and fun 100 meters long horse shoe shaped alley is comprised of an unusual two-storey complex of about 50 colourful girly bars lined back to back at it’s center, each sporting it’s own particular ambiance and feel. The whole complex got a major face lift in 2012 with the addition of a roof (similar to the one Nana Plaza got recently), which is especially welcome during the the wet season when the island is often hit by tropical downpours. There is also now a DJ in a booth on the top floor that spins tunes for the whole complex and some pretty flashy light effects adding to the already great atmosphere. Otherwise nothing much has changed, you still have the same army of loud and funny bargirls all fighting for your attention as you pass by their bar, the usual connect 4 and Jenga games to break the ice while you get to know the hostesses before maybe taking one home for the night or a short time session at your hotel. Drinks are reasonably priced […]
Soi Sea Dragon, Soi Bangla, Patong, Kathu, Phuket, 83150 Thailand
The famous Soi Tiger 2 girly bar complex located on Bangla road is probably the most unique of all the Soi’s in Patong. Part of the massive 5000 sqm New Tiger Entertainment Complex there is no way you could miss this outrageous three story landmark as you pass by on soi Bangla. The entire building is fitted out in a giant concrete cave decor with an impressive set of tiger sculptures overlooking the street. The ground floor is home to Patong’s biggest beer bar complex with around 55 girly bars while the two upper floors are reserved to the Tiger Discotheque. The beer bars are fun, loud and colourful with plenty of Thai bargirls dancing on the counter. Everything is so closely packed together than the thunderous music blasting and continuous lighting make you think sometimes you are just in one giant bar. The complex can be a little overwhelming at first but is definitely worth a visit, being hands down the best girlie bar area to visit if you want to pick one up. The sexiest girls are usually dancing in the bars the to closest the entrance but don’t hesitate to explore around a bit first, prices are […]

Tai Pan Disco is one the oldest, hottest and easiest pickup joints in Patong, located near the entrance of Bangla Road and the Rat-U-Thit Road intersection it’s right in the heart of Phuket’s nightlife scene. The place get packed most nights of the week and there are a few good reasons for it, Tai Pan Night Club is sort of a fusion between a pub and a club. From 09:30PM to midnight you get live bands performing all the rock & pop classics offering attractive “Happy Hour” drink prices until in-house DJ’s take over and Tai Pan shifts into a unpretentious disco with a fun vibe, live acts, sexy coyote dancers, games and giveaways during the night. The club’s design tends itself more to seating than actual dancing. Most of the hall space is occupied by tables, stools and two long bar counters, while the small dance floor is next of the stage where are the bands, DJ’s and coyote dancers. Entry is always free and you’ll often be handed free shots vouchers at the entrance for every drink you buy. Crowd is a mixed bag of young and old, tourists and expatriates, 20% of regular girls and about 80% […]

The Bliss South Beach Patong is located at the southern end of the beach, in a relatively quiet area of Patong within easy walking distance (15 mins) from the hustle and bustle of Bangla road. Besides enjoying a swim at the beachfront right across the street, guests can also cool off at any of the two pools of the property. While both are pleasant well maintained, the smaller one, found at the front is more appropriate for dipping than laps which can be done at the larger and more private one in at the back. The 32 m² Deluxe rooms are cosy and well-designed, highlight of staying here for me was definitely the beautiful sea view from the balcony, great place to just sit back and chill with a beer in hand, watching the sunset or listen the waves at night. The hotel is comprised of two separate buildings, the south wing for the suite accommodations and the north wing (where I stayed) where you will find the superior and deluxe room categories. Staff are extremely polite and helpful, security has a very friendly attitude dealing with overnight bargirls. Overall a great option! Awarded again the Trip Advisor’s certificate of […]

Location is good as it’s tucked away in a quiet alley off Soi Sansabai, just 5 mins walking distance from Bangla Rd. Rooms are a bit small in size but clean and comfortable with all the basic amenities are included: Led-TV, mini-bar, Air-con, powerful shower was powerful, fridge ,safe and a small balcony. Worth it’s money.

I really loved my stay at the newly opened Continent Bangkok, location is spot on with Soi Cowboy just around the corner only 200 m away, one of the advantages you get from booking at this smaller boutique hotel is the attention you get from the staff as it’s not as packed as most other 5-Stars hotels in the area. The warm and the sincere hospitality definitely makes a difference. One of the great benefits of staying here is their Sky Privilege Package which they will offer you on arrival for an extra 700 THB, with that you get an All You Can Eat And Drink between 5pm and 8pm at their H20 pool bar or sky bar which includes: Beers, wines, cocktails, beers and wine and a wide selection of food that covers everything from mini-burgers, pasta, chicken tenders, sandwiches, fruits & various desserts. Their Sky rooftop bar offer some impressive views over Bangkok, I made it a habit during to start my evenings and after 3 hours of free drinks I was all set to hit Bangkok’s nightlife. Regarding the rooms, the designers have done a great job with the decor, both peaceful and vibrant at the same time. I booked their cheapest room and […]
413 Sukhumvit Road, Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Thailand
The Landmark Bangkok was the most luxurious and highest skyscraper of the Sukhumvit area when it opened a few decades ago, while this premium old-school hotel had lost a bit of her polish over the years management has since done a complete renovation of the rooms, offering some of her grand old charm back. Location is second to none, right next door to Nana plaza you will find a very welcoming oasis in the midst of the hot, crowded and seedy streets of Bangkok. Amenities are plentiful and include a nice pub with live venues, restaurants, bars, a rooftop pool, gym, spa, sauna. The new rooms are fabulous, beds extremely comfortable and the quality of the decor with all the latest furnishings truly in the 5-Star category. Staff are very friendly and extremely competent. All in all, a very happy experience and would recommend. Have a look above for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the Premiere room and hotel amenities.
138 Sukhumvit Road, Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Thailand
Location of the Lantern Resorts is super convenient, only a short 5 minutes walk to Bangla Road and 5 more to Patong beach. This is currently my favorite resort on Soi Sansabai, facilities are new and modern and there’s three pools to chose from, two are at ground level next to each other and one on the roof. I booked the Pool Pent room, which are big and spacious with direct access to the pool from your terrace door, there is a table and chair outside and its very nice sitting there with a drink and a following dip. Rooms are clean, bright and comfortable and the housekeeping maintained it regularly, bathroom has a separate walk-in shower and tub. Could not be any happier from my stay at The Lantern Resort Patong, clean facility, perfect location and great staff, recommended! Have a look above for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the room and hotel amenities.
181/4 Soi Sansabai, Rat-U-Thit 200 Pee Road, Patong, Phuket, Thailand
The Yorkshire is a newly refurbed British owned 3-Star located just a minute walk from Phuket’s nightlife center, the infamous Bangla road. While the hotel doesn’t claim to be 5-stars or in the luxury category, it does stand out from other 3-Stars in the area due to the amount of facilities they offer for a hotel of this size and price. The Yorkshire has two saunas, an excellent gym and a pool where staff members always look after you, making sure we always had a drink and were happy. Food served is great and prices moderate.

The Thermae Bar & Coffee House, commonly just referred as the Thermae is one of the oldest pickup bars in Bangkok. Originally opened in 1968, it was was made popular by the troops on R&R from Vietnam and has been serving punters ever since. Things have changed a bit and these days the place caters mostly to an Asian clientele from Japan and Korea though you’ll always have some westerners around. The Thermae is a quieter place, there are no live bands or loud music and the drinks are reasonably priced at around 80-100 THB. I suggest to arrive before 10pm though as the bar can fill up quickly and seating become hard to find. All the girl coming in here are freelancers but the atmosphere is very relaxed, you are never pressured by any girls. House rules are they are not allowed to approach the customers on their own, unless you stare straight at them and try to make eye contact so it is more like a lineup in a soapy massage parlor than your average pickup bar. You will see the girls stand around the center bar and in the back like in the picture below waiting for […]

Tiger Inn hotel is a budget hotel is found right above a jungle themed restaurant and bar of the same name. Location is quite central with Patong Beach & Bangla road only a short 10 minute walk away. Rooms are old fashion but clean and spacious, decorated with sweet tiger-striped bedding and furniture. Definitely nothing special but all the basics are covered and everything works. The menu at their restaurant has a huge selection ranging from Thai cuisine to Western food with lots of fresh seafood dishes, good servings as well. A live band plays every night in the restaurant & bar, singing mostly classic rock covers from the 70s & 80s, so it can quickly fill up on occasions with an international crowd. Ideal place for travelers on a budget, if you don’t mind the tired rooms and lack of a swimming pool. Have a look above for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the room and hotel amenities.

Tiger disco is is part of the huge 5000 square meters Tiger Entertainment Complex, on of the most easy to recognize landmarks of Bangla road with it’s massive Tiger statues and jungle/cave theme. The whole ground floor, referred to as Soi Tiger, is a one large beer bar complex comprised of about 50 tightly packed individual girly bars and their hostesses. The second and third floor are home to one of the biggest and loudest discotheque in Patong, renowned having among of the highest ratio of freelancers (about 80% of the Thai girls). You really can’t miss them, all around and especially dark corners trying to actively make eye contact with any foreigner passing by. Most of the center is occupied by high tables and stools, flanked by bars on each side with a large podium in the middle and some VIP zones. The crowd is a mixed bag of different nationalities. Westerners occupy mostly the central portion and dance stage while Arabs and Russians tend the ones to be occupying the VIP zones. Each night the club features different live bands and DJs spinning popular commercial EDM tunes and Hip Hop mixed with in with Arabic songs from time […]

Listen… I know that just by the name alone might be enough to make many skip right to the next booking option on my list but Tweet Tweet Nest Pattaya Hotel is actually not as bad of an option as it sounds. The property, which has been taken over and totally renovated less than two years ago offers modern and well thought out rooms that start at 50 sq. meters for a very reasonable price. All rooms in the hotel, Superior or Deluxe have pretty much the same design with wood flooring, a comfortable king sized bed at it’s center, not the usual hard mattress most Thai hotels seem to offer, adjustable mood lighting which are controlled through a main control panel next to the bed, large LCD flat-screen TV and great bathroom facilities. Located up a little alleyway in between Soi 7 & 8 so there’s no shortage of beer bars and night venues just at your doorsteps with beach road under a minute walk away, Walking street is around 15 minutes away. Have a look below for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the Superior room and hotel amenities. What you see below are the actual pictures […]

Owned by the same proprietor as the Bayview Hotel found just behind it, The Wave Hotel is a new low-rise luxury boutique hotel with only 18 rooms that has a brilliant seafront location on Pattaya Beach Road. The hotel has an Art Deco inspired design which reminds classic 50’s Miami Beach with it’s pale blue colors and vintage red car up on front. All the rooms overlook the sea and are fitted with balconies providing panoramic views over beach road. These are maintained impeccably, decor is quite stunning with an unique a mix of where modern meets retro furnishings, certainly not your usually, run-of-the-mill hotel room. The pool area is laid back and very relaxing, staff are incredibly friendly where complimentary drink refills and food is served without asking. Overall, Through it’s innovative theme and combination of art, design, and function throughout the Wave Hotel certainly rates itself several notches above any other of the boutique hotels found in the area. Have a look above for the pictures of the room and hotel amenities.

The @Home Boutique Hotel is a great option for travelers looking for affordable rooms not too far away from Patong’s nightlife. Location is quiet, walk to Bangla Road only takes 10 minutes. Definitely not the Ritz, but rooms are very reasonable and larger than I expected at 32 sqm for this price category. All the basics for a comfortable stay are provided: Cable TV, mini-bar, air-con, small electronic safe, bedding is decent, shower pressure in the bathroom was excellent, every room has a balcony. Now for the downsides: Noise isolation is poor, while there’s a lot of channels to chose from on the TV reception is a little fuzzy, Wi-Fi disconnected frequently, bathroom very basic in Thai style with no curtains so it floods the whole place quite easily, not the most silent of Air-cons. In the end still a good bang for your buck, should suit just fine those travelling on a budget. Have a look above for the pictures of the room and hotel amenities.

The 101 Premier Massage, with more than 70 girls, is one of the bigger and better appointed oily/lotion/sexy massage parlors located on Soi 26. I have been frequently visiting them since they opened in late 2012 and they are one of my favorite in the Klongtoey/BTS Phrom Phong station area. You can actually see some of the massage girls and make your booking online on their website listed below. Prices are in the 2000 to 2500 THB range which is about 60$ to 70$

The Add Plus is a no frills hotel located a very short walk from the back of the Junglecyon Shopping mall, for those unaccustomed to Patong this means both the beach and nightlife of Bangla road can be reached within a breezy 10 to 15 mins walk. The property is spread across around 9 floors and has a little rooftop pool where you can cool off while enjoying the views over the mountains and city. Rooms are declined only in two categories, so you get tho choose between either smallish superior rooms at 25 sqm and much bigger 42 sqm Deluxe rooms. While both have recently been refurbed the pictures above reflect the cheaper superior category. Rooms are well furnished, modern TV set with around 50 channels, beds maybe a little hard but typical for Thailand, air-con ran perfectly, Wi-Fi signal quite decent as well. Rooms all have a balcony though the view of the next door hotel is less than desirable. Bathroom has walk in shower that tends to flood easily when you use it. Otherwise not much to complain about, everything kept clean tidy, new sheets and towels daily. Yes of course there plenty of nicer hotels in […]

One of the newest venues opened on on Sukhumvit Soi 24 in the middle of numerous massage parlors Pink, Mango and Orient: Addict Massage, but this place stands out since the ladies working here can always be found standing outside in their sexy purple flight attendant uniforms. Once you get inside, everything is shiny and new, not like the many other run down massage parlors in this area. the staff at Addict is large with over than two dozen women at any given time. Addict quite possibly has the largest lineup of any oily massage in Bangkok. The women all wear the aforementioned uniforms and most are quite attractive. Once the girl is picked by the customer he will be asked to pay for the massage. There are various options available and extras like jacuzzi rooms but the standard price is around the same as it is anywhere else in the area with an all inclusive rate of 2000 Baht/60$/55EUR for an hour massage with full service. Massage Menu 1hr. 1.30hr. 2hr. The Adelphi Pattaya is a newly built hotel located a quiet little side street that links Soi Buakhao (220 m away) with Pattaya 3rd Road just 5 minutes walk from Soi LK Metro. Ideal place for those who enjoy the Central Pattaya nightlife but a little out of the way for those who want to base their activities around the beach (15 mins walk away) and Walking street (25 mins). Property is very well managed and kept immaculate throughout, rooms are modern and bright, beds are very comfortable, which if you’ve traveled Southeast-Asia Asia for any amount of time know this is far from always true, flat-screen-TV offers a good selection of channels, Wi-Fi is fast, great A/C unit, large fridge for your drinks, electronic safe of good size, nothing much to complain about the room amenities here. Only downside I could think of is the water temperature is not always consistent when in the shower, sometimes a little too cold or too hot. The swimming pool area on the 8th floor roof top is quite nice and gets sunlight all day long, daily happy hour 2 for 1 drinks are served from 5PM until 8PM at the pool bar. […]
