Patong Hemingway’s Hotel is a nice little 3.5-star hotel located just 5 mins walking distance from the main girly bar entertainment area of Patong, Bangla road. One advantage of staying here is since it’s tucked in a quiet alley far just off Soi Sansaban it’s sheltered from the noise and almost all the traffic so it’s surprisingly quiet at night. Rooms are quite compact but nicely maintained and clean, nothing really special but not bad for the price. All the basic commodities are provided: King size bed bit little bit too firm to my taste but nothing lose sleep over it, flat-screen TV had an ample selection of cable channels (image a bit grainy), adequate air conditioning system, in room electronic safe, bathroom & shower with proper water pressure (but the place does floods easily), adequate closet space, kettle for tea/coffee & mini bar provided, linen and towels changed every day, small balcony to have a smoke on or relax on, room did exceeded my expectations for the price range. Few negatives: WiFi was inconsistent when inside the room and sound proofing isn’t great, especially if you end up with noisy neighbors.
Hotel amenities include a rooftop area with swimming pool and bar, while the pool is quite small in size it’s a nice to be able to go for dip in the blazing heat and just chill with a cold drink while enjoying the views over the sea and mountains, food is available too. Another bar and restaurant is found downstairs, staff are friendly and helpful, there are two other Hemingway hotels (the original Hemingway’s and Hemingway’s Silk) but this one is the closest to the nightlife.
