The DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit (Forerly: Majestic Grande Hotel) is another one of my favorite places to stay in Sukhumvit, definitely a cut above the expected levels for the Nana area. The Location on Soi 2 is surprisingly quiet, considering it’s only a 30 second walk across to Soi 4 and under 5 mins from Nana Plaza. Getting to Soi Cowboy and the greater Bangkok is also a breeze with both BTS/Skytain stations Ploenchit and Nana within easy walking distance. The rooms are well organized with big bed and shag carpet around it, excellent lighting and a wide selection of international channels offered on the large flat-screen TV, furniture include two comfortable office chair, study desk and table from where you can enjoy some great view over the Bangkok. Bathroom is ok but it could do with a little updating to be on par with the rest of the room, no issues or mold otherwise, there’s a shower and bath tub with numerous toiletries that are replaced whenever they are used. The Majestic Grande also has a pool area is located on the 7th floor and usually gets sun until around midday, due to it’s small size the pool is not really adequate for laps or swimming but good to have a refreshing dip after a day in the Bangkok heat. Have a look below for the pictures I have personally took during my stay of the room and hotel amenities.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit Guest Friendly Policy: Greeting from Majestic Grande Hotel, Regard to your inquiry about joiner policy, please be advised that the hotel allow a visitor sharing room without any additional charge, however, a visitor ID Card is required to keep at the security department.

The rooms are very comfortable and come furnished with two comfortable office chair, study desk and table from where you can enjoy some great view over the Bangkok

With such a prime location almost at the heart of the Red Light district of Nana Plaza in Bangkok the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit has a very open Guest friendly policy, overnight joiners are free of charge and very welcome.

Even though the Grand Superior is the cheapest category room that the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit has to offfer, it’s lovely and at close to 30 m² there’s still plenty of space to move around
